Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2025–2026 – ASTAR PhD Scholarship

Who may apply

  • International applicants interested in pursuing a fully funded PhD in Singapore
  • Students applying to one of the participating institutions: A*STAR, NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU
  • Applicants with strong academic backgrounds and interest in research
  • Graduates from all nationalities and academic fields
  • Must meet institute-specific requirements but IELTS/GRE/TOEFL/SAT scores are not mandatory unless requested
  • More than 950 scholarships awarded annually

  • Monthly stipend of S$2,700, increased to S$3,200 after passing the qualifying exam
  • One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be an international applicant
  • Must hold strong academic records in bachelor’s or master’s studies
  • Must be interested in research in eligible fields: Biomedical Sciences, Computing & Information Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Physical Sciences
  • Must provide strong academic referee reports
  • Must submit complete documentation including transcripts, recommendation letters, and passport copy
  • Optional but may be requested: GRE, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT I/II, or GATE results
