GSIS STEM Scholarship Program (GSSP) – AY 2026–2027

Who May Apply

  • Incoming first-year college students pursuing STEM courses
  • Children of active GSIS members or GSIS disability pensioners
  • Students with strong academic performance (minimum GWA of 90%)
  • Applicants from lower-income GSIS member families (Salary Grade 15 and below or lower pension brackets)
  • 1,000 slots available annually, with 200 slots reserved for PWDs, Indigenous Peoples, and solo parents

Benefits

Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:

  • Annual financial assistance of ₱15,000
  • Support for up to four years of college education
  • Opportunity to pursue STEM education in CHED-recognized institutions

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a child of an active GSIS member or qualified pensioner
  • Must be an incoming first-year college student
  • Must be accepted into a STEM program in a CHED-recognized institution
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 90%
  • Must meet prioritization criteria based on family income or GSIS classification
