BASE and BASE-MERIT Scholarship Programs – Bangsamoro Government (AY 2026–2027)
Who May Apply
- Incoming first-year college students from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)
- Students pursuing STEM or applied science and technology programs
- Applicants with strong academic performance (at least 85%–90% GWA depending on strand)
- Residents of BARMM committed to pursuing priority science and technology fields
Benefits
Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:
- Monthly stipend of ₱20,000 (BASE-MERIT scholars)
- Monthly stipend of ₱8,000 (BASE scholars)
- Financial support for academic and living expenses
- Opportunity to pursue STEM education aligned with regional development goals
Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen
- Must be a resident of BARMM
- Must be an incoming first-year college student
- Must meet minimum GWA requirements:
- At least 85% for STEM strand graduates
- At least 90% for non-STEM strand graduates
- Must enroll in a priority science and technology course
- Must pass the qualifying examination
