Global KU Scholarship

Who May Apply

International exchange or visiting students nominated through a University Level Agreement between Korea University and their home institution.
New exchange students (first semester) and continuing exchange/visiting students (second semester).
Students demonstrating strong academic performance and leadership potential.

Benefits

Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:

Admission Scholarship – KRW 100,000 up to KRW 1,600,000 for the first semester.
Travel Scholarship – KRW 100,000 up to KRW 1,500,000 for the first semester.
Merit Scholarship – KRW 1,200,000 for the second semester, awarded based on academic merit during the first semester.
Eligibility for both scholarships depends on nomination status and academic standing.
Scholarships may also consider geographic and strategic diversity as selection factors.

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

Must be nominated as an exchange or visiting student under a University Level Agreement with Korea University.
Must submit a Global KU Scholarship application form with the following required documents:
- One passport-sized photograph (attached to the form)
- A letter of recommendation from an academic referee supporting the applicant’s performance (sent directly by the recommender to studyabroad@korea.ac.kr)
Must submit all application materials in English (translations required for non-English documents).
Only applicants participating in a one-year exchange or visiting program at university-wide level are eligible for the Merit Scholarship.
