- Talented early-career researchers (ECRs) from over 180 countries, including the Philippines
- Applicants with a completed Master’s degree (for PhD/Research scholarships) or PhD (for postdoctoral scholarships)
- Artists from selected countries seeking to pursue an initial Master’s degree in Switzerland
- Applicants with strong academic profiles and a clear research proposal supported by a Swiss academic supervisor

Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a citizen of a country eligible under the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships program
- Must hold at least a Master’s degree (for PhD/Research) or a PhD (for postdoctoral programs) by the time of application
- Must secure a letter of acceptance or supervision from a professor in a Swiss academic institution
- Must present a high-quality research proposal or artistic work
- Must demonstrate potential for future academic collaboration between Switzerland and the applicant’s home country
- Must not be older than 35 years old (for some programs)
