Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) – Graduate Program (AY 2025–2026)
Who May Apply
- Filipino citizens (and other foreign nationals) applying for Master’s, Doctoral, or Research studies in Korea
- Applicants with strong academic standing (at least 80% GPA or top 20% of class)
- Applicants under 40 years old (45 for academic professors from ODA-recipient countries)
- A total of 1,820 scholars worldwide will be accepted (720 via Embassy Track, 1,100 via University Track)

Qualifications
Application period
- Embassy Track submission: Typically due by March–April 2025
- University Track submission: Typically due by April–May 2025
- Final announcement of scholars: June–July 2025
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino citizen (or citizen of an eligible country invited to the GKS program)
- Must have earned a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s applicants) or a Master’s degree (for Doctoral applicants) by July 31, 2025
- Must have a GPA of at least 80% or rank in the top 20% of their most recent academic level
- Must be under:
- 40 years old (for most applicants)
- 45 years old (for academic professors from ODA-recipient countries)
- 40 years old (for most applicants)
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Must not apply through both Embassy and University Tracks—choose only one
- Must meet all documentation and university-specific requirements set by Korean institutions
