CHED Medical Scholarship Program – AY 2025–2026
Who May Apply
- Filipino citizens residing in the Philippines
- Graduating students or graduates of relevant pre-med programs enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine degree or integrated INTARMED program
- Must have taken the NMAT and passed the entrance exam and admission requirements of the SUC/PHEI
- Priority given to:
- Residents of municipalities without government physicians
- Residents of GIDA (Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas) or calamity/conflict-prone areas
- Residents of low-income municipalities with high poverty incidence
- Dependents of community health volunteers
- Applicants with a combined family income of less than ₱450,000
- Residents of municipalities without government physicians
Benefits
Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:
- Full coverage of tuition and other school fees
- For SUCs: actual cost
- For private HEIs: up to ₱100,000 per semester (balance shouldered by the school)
- For SUCs: actual cost
- Book Allowance: ₱13,000 per semester (₱26,000 per year)
- Clothing/Uniform Allowance: ₱3,500 per semester (₱7,000 per year)
- Miscellaneous/Connectivity Allowance: ₱6,000 per semester (₱12,000 per year)
- Living Subsidy: ₱30,000 per semester (₱60,000 per year)
- Lodging Allowance: ₱30,000 per semester (₱60,000 per year)
- Transportation Allowance: ₱6,000 per semester (₱12,000 per year)
- Internship Year (5th Year Medicine):
- Living Subsidy: ₱60,000
- Lodging Allowance: ₱60,000
- Transportation Allowance: ₱12,000
- One-time Board/Licensure Review and Exam Fee: ₱16,000
- Living Subsidy: ₱60,000
Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
- Must be a graduate of an appropriate undergraduate program or enrolled in an integrated INTARMED program
- Must be enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine program at a CHED-recognized SUC or PHEI
- Must have taken the NMAT and obtained the required score
- Must pass the entrance exam and comply with other requirements of the HEI
