Bagong Pilipinas Merit Scholarship Program (BPMSP) – AY 2026–2027
Who May Apply
- Incoming first-year college students
- Senior high school graduates with High Honors or Highest Honors (minimum GWA of 95%)
- Top-performing students (Top 5 of graduating class prioritized)
- Students from low- to middle-income families
- Applicants pursuing priority courses (e.g., STEM, health, agriculture, IT, education)
Benefits
Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:
- Financial support of up to ₱208,000 per year (Metro Manila private HEIs)
- Financial support of up to ₱98,000 per year (private HEIs outside NCR)
- Stipend, tuition subsidy, and book/internet allowance
- Support for full college education in priority programs
Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino citizen
- Must be an incoming college freshman
- Must have High Honors or Highest Honors (minimum GWA of 95%)
- Must enroll in a CHED-recognized priority program
- Must belong to a low- to middle-income household
- Must not be receiving other government scholarships
