CHED Sugarcane Industry Development Act Scholarship – AY 2025–2026
Who May Apply
- Children or dependents of sugarcane industry workers or small sugarcane farmers
- Filipino students pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in priority fields
- Applicants certified by the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA)
- Students from low- to middle-income families (income thresholds up to ₱400,000–₱500,000 depending on level)
Benefits
Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:
- Tuition and other school fees coverage (for graduate programs)
- Annual stipend of up to ₱100,000
- Book and learning materials allowance of ₱10,000 per year
- Thesis/OJT allowance of up to ₱75,000
- Additional support for conferences and academic activities
- Total annual support of up to ₱110,000 (undergraduate) or ₱175,000 (graduate), excluding additional allowances
Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a Filipino citizen
- Must be a certified dependent of a sugarcane industry worker or small farmer
- Must meet admission requirements of a State University or College
- Must enroll in priority programs (e.g., agriculture, engineering, chemistry, sugar technology, or related fields)
- Must meet the required family income threshold
- Must comply with scholarship conditions, including return service obligations
