Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and their Families (CoScho) – AY 2025–2026

Who May Apply

  • Graduating Senior High School Students or High School Graduates with a GWA of at least 80%
  • Current college students with earned units and a GWA of at least 80% in the previous semester
  • Children or dependents of duly registered coconut farmers under the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS)
  • Students from families with a combined annual gross income not exceeding ₱300,000
  • Must not be a recipient of any other government-funded financial assistance
  • Must pass the entry requirements of an identified State University or College (SUC)

Benefits

Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:

  • Regular allowance of up to ₱80,000 per academic year for stipend and book allowance
  • Additional allowances of up to ₱195,000 per academic year for:

    • Thesis or OJT allowance
    • One-time attendance in a local conference or forum
    • One-time laptop purchase assistance (during first year of scholarship)
  • Return service required: 1 year of service in the Philippines for every year of scholarship, preferably in:

    • Government agencies related to the coconut industry
    • Other government agencies
    • Private entities connected to the Philippine Coconut Industry

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen
  • Must be either:

    • A graduating high school student or high school graduate with at least 80% GWA
    • A college student with earned units and at least 80% GWA in the previous semester
  • Must be a dependent of a registered coconut farmer in the NCFRS
  • Must have a combined annual parental income of ₱300,000 or less
  • Must pass the entrance requirements of a CHED-identified SUC
  • Must not be a recipient of any other government-funded scholarship
