Who May Apply

  • Graduating Grade 12 students from public or private schools
  • Students planning to enroll in one of SBFI’s eight partner universities in NCR
  • Students with a latest General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93%
  • Students taking up priority business- and finance-related courses aligned with bank operations
  • Applicants without any parent employed in Security Bank, and with no family member within the 2nd degree of consanguinity/affinity currently receiving the scholarship
  • Students with no other existing scholarship (discounts from schools allowed)

Benefits

Scholars may enjoy the following benefits:

  • For State Universities:

    • Stipend of ₱25,000 per half-semester or ₱100,000 per year
    • Tuition and miscellaneous fees: No allotment (covered under Free Tuition Law)
  • For Private Universities:

    • Stipend of ₱12,500 per half-semester or ₱50,000 per year
    • Tuition and miscellaneous fees: Up to ₱100,000 per year
  • Additional non-monetary benefits:

    • Internship opportunities
    • Involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities
    • Participation in learning sessions from partner institutions

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen and a graduating Grade 12 student from a public or private high school
  • Must have a latest General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93%
  • Must enroll in one of the following eight partner schools in NCR:

    • Ateneo De Manila University
    • Chiang Kai Shek College
    • De La Salle University – Manila
    • Far Eastern University – Manila
    • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
    • Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila
    • University of the Philippines – Diliman
    • University of Santo Tomas – Manila
  • Must take up a course directly supporting bank operations:

    • Accountancy
    • Accounting Information System / Technology
    • Internal Auditing
    • Marketing
    • Financial Management
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Management Engineering
    • Applied Mathematics
    • Business Analytics / Statistics
    • Data Science
    • Computer Science / Technology
    • Information Systems / Technology
  • Must not have a parent employed at Security Bank
  • Must not have a family member within second degree already part of the program
  • Must not have any other scholarship, except school-based discounts
