- Postgraduates, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and university lecturers
- Applicants from member universities of ASEA-UNINET (including the Philippines)
- Scholars interested in German language, Austrian literature, or Austrian historical sciences
- Specific programs available for:
- Students and researchers from developing countries
- Former OeAD grantees applying for follow-up grants
- Experts in Austrian literature and history
- Students and researchers from developing countries
Benefits

- Monthly grant ranging from approx. €1,050 to €1,550 depending on academic level

Qualifications
Applicants must have the following qualifications (program-specific):
- Must be a student, graduate, or researcher from a non-European country
- Must meet academic qualifications (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or Postdoctoral level) depending on program
- Must be enrolled in or affiliated with a higher education institution
- For ASEA-UNINET: Must be from a member university in the Philippines
- For follow-up grants: Must be a former OeAD grantee with a minimum 3-year gap since last research visit
- For specific fellowships:

- Richard Plaschka: Young university teachers in historical sciences focusing on Austria
